The "small" display from the Fête de Genève (Festival of Geneva)...

-- Obligatory DD Edit --
Life goal #1 complete! *cries* I posted my last deviation for this summer and accepted that I wouldn't be on deviantArt regularly again for a while... I came back, and I completely missed the day I had my first ever Daily Deviation! ;P Thank you so, so much to 3wyl for featuring my deviation :') and, thank you deviantArt, you guys are the best! :D

Many thanks to artamusica for featuring this photograph here: Fireworks! Please be sure to run along and check out her photographs as well!
Also many thanks to Future-Visionaries for featuring me in their group journal here: End of the Month Feature 02. Please make sure to check this journal out, I ended up :+fav:ing nearly every piece of artwork featured!

bokayeh captures a colourful display of fireworks from the Festival of Geneva. The way the fireworks fill up the whole frame in Festival is fantastic, as we get a full sense of celebrating the occasion. ( Featured by 3wyl )

OMG, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I am SOOOO thrilled for you!! You deserve the DD so much. I am so proud of you! And it was well worth the drenching you got in the rain for this. And the water drops on the lens filter and everything. :D :tighthug:  BRAVO!!!!! And thank you to 3wyl for featuring. I would have but my computer died, :( so it's coming up soon!

THANK YOU!!! :D Definitely worth it in order to fulfill a four year life goal! My lens is all nice and clean now ;) Although I think perhaps I should give up and invest in a lens hood... :XD: Incidentally I accidentally took my macro extension kit with me, which I did not mean to do, so if you wish to borrow it... well.... there's the physical old fashioned post ;) Let me know!

Well,, I stil have that particular goal in front of me :-) Glad that the camera's fine and don't worry about the macro extension kit issue. I have NO time at the mo. Besides, remember it's a great idea for Christmas! :D

Amazing! What type of camera and lens do you use? My pictures never come out this sharp. :)

Haha, thanks! I use a Canon EOS 450D -- I believe that's a Rebel XSi in the US -- and this was just the standard 18-55mm kit lens, and this setup was on a tripod with a remote release cable. With that being said, I can sympathize with the sharpness issue. I take a lot of photographs of mountains/landscapes that I never post because for whatever reason they just don't come out sharp enough for me, even with a tripod. I think fireworks come out sharp just because they're high-contrast in nature  ;) Best of luck solving that issue!

Thanks for the info. :) I'll have to try that sometime.
