So I was hiking with artamusica
and we came across this glorified pond/puddle and of course we ended up taking photos of the reflection of the Dents du Midi in it. Later we were at home processing images and whatnot, and I ended up very frustrated. I've seen such beautifully crisp, clean, clear pictures of mountains -- TobiasRichter
's images, for example -- but mine never end up that clear. I've tried a high depth of field, a large aperture on a tripod, low ISO and longer exposure, seeing which focal length on my 18-55mm kit lens make a difference (I was told around 20mm was the sharpest), HDR imaging with every possible interval range -- in short, anything I can think to manually control on my Canon 450D (xsi in the United States) -- all with the same result. Does anyone have any tips or tricks I could try in addition to the above?
